The Stigler Center for the Study of the Economy and the State

Chicago Booth’s Stigler Center for the Study of the Economy and the State is dedicated to understanding the interaction between politics and the economy. The center focuses on the study of regulatory capture—the process by which regulatory agencies are dominated by the very industries they were charged with regulating—and various forms of subversion of competition by special interest groups.
