How do you introduce a new program of study into the College? What should an undergraduate engineering curriculum look like at the University of Chicago? Answering these questions is the Institute for Molecular Engineering’s educational mission. Very soon, College students will be walking across the quad from “Form, Problem, and Event” or “Self, Culture, and Society” to “Nanomaterials: Synthesis, Fabrication, and Self-Assembly.”
Molecular engineering is now the College’s newest minor; a full-degree program is in the works. Your support will provide the resources for IME to continue this bold new initiative in the College and in the education of a new breed of problem solvers.
