Build knowledge to improve urban schooling
UChicago CCSR leads UEI’s applied research effort, informing practice, policy, and the public about schooling in Chicago. Since its founding in 1990, UChicago CCSR has undertaken research to document, analyze, and assess Chicago's school reform efforts. It has become a national model for research to track the progress of urban school systems, inspiring the creation of similar research organizations across the country, including in New York City, Baltimore, Newark, Los Angeles, Kansas City, and Texas.
Your gift to support the CCSR will continue development of cutting-edge research to improve public schooling in Chicago, while serving as an organizational model for the use of applied research to improve elementary and secondary education across the nation.
