The University of Chicago Trust (the Trust) is a charitable trust in India, established by the University of Chicago, to provide Indian citizens residing in India a tax efficient avenue to support University of Chicago education and research projects in India. Gifts to the Trust are deductible under Section 80G of the India Income-Tax Act, 1961.

- Scholarship payments are the only funds that can be transferred to the United States by the Trust. Prior to their transfer, a specific student must be named.
- All other gifts will be spent in India to support programs and initiatives of the University of Chicago that meet the purposes of the Trust.
