Forge a new approach to computational scholarship and education
The Computation Institute serves as an intellectual destination for computational talent and innovation, drawing scholars together through shared physical space and resources. It cross-pollinates computational ideas, methodologies, and technologies across the University by catalyzing interdisciplinary communication, creative collaboration, and innovation, without erecting disciplinary barriers. It is a “workshop of the mind,” where new ideas will be forged and put to uses that cannot yet be imagined.
The Computation Institute attracts scholars from all units of the University and, with your help, it can broaden its reach to tap into talented minds in external organizations and industry. And it will provide the space, intellectual partnerships, dedicated time, and other tools faculty and visitors require to pursue risky forward-looking projects.
