About the campaign
Completed in 2019, the University of Chicago Campaign: Inquiry and Impact was the most ambitious and comprehensive campaign in the University’s history, raising more than $5 billion and engaging 134,000-plus alumni to support faculty and researchers, practitioners and patients, and students and programs across the University.
Together, contributors to the campaign
- created an environment that spurs more insights and innovations, solutions and cures;
- helped prepare more students to lead in an increasingly complex world; and
- built more powerful connections to Chicago and cities around the globe.
The campaign supported priorities in every division, school, department, and institute across six major content areas: global engagement, scientific discovery, urban research and practice, intellectual destination, innovation and economic impact, and culture and society.
It is now our responsibility—as alumni and friends, patients and families—to ensure that UChicago remains among the world’s great centers of discovery, education, and influence by continuing to support faculty and students in their quest to define future inquiry and its impact on our lives.
